Ken ‘Mayhem’ Marcus is the owner of the Marcus Family Agency with Allstate, a full-service insurance agency that covers the entire state of New York, while specializing in addressing the individual needs of local residents. He has a true passion for helping families in his local community better understand how to protect what’s important to them. “I like to say that insurance is our business, protecting the community is our passion.”

Ken has been very active in the Farmingdale community since acquiring his office in 2013.  Ken is currently the Vice President of the Farmingdale Breakfast Rotary, where he has received the Paul Harris Award, recognizing his contributions and exemplifying the highest ideal in Rotary by placing “Service Above Self”.  He also is the Vice President of the Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce, where he was named Businessperson of the Year for 2021 by the Farmingdale Chamber and the Nassau Council Chambers of Commerce.

Ken strongly believes that it is important to give back. He has either volunteered for or has been involved with sponsorships to the Farmingdale Community Summit Council, the Farmingdale Annual Comedy Night, Island Harvest Food Bank, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Foundation, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the Farmingdale Baseball League and Blessings in a Backpack.

For the Long Island Fight for Charity (LIFFC), Ken will be partnering with Pay It Forward Long Island – a nonprofit created by a group of local women who are dedicated to supporting our community by providing school supplies, first day of school clothing, warm winter jackets and holiday presents for children right here in our own backyards.  A portion of the funds he raises will go towards this incredible charity that provides significant benefits to a large number of local children.

Ken graduated from Plattsburgh University with a bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science and received his MBA from New York Institute of Technology.

He currently resides in Melville with his wife and daughter.
