Meet the Boxer

We'd like to introduce our 2019 Boxer, Patrick Kiernan from Colonial Voluntary Benefits!

Patrick “The Truth” Kiernan is an Agency Development Manager for Colonial Voluntary Benefits based in Garden City. The firm provides financial protection for American workers against accidents, critical illnesses and other life events.

Patrick became interested in volunteering for Fight for Charity after his manager, Walter Bonilla, fought in 2018 Main Event.

Patrick chose the ring name “The Truth” because he believes in doing the right thing; in fact, he had the phrase “Do the right thing” tattooed on his chest., but backwards, so he can be reminded to do the right thing when he looks in the mirror.

Patrick is also an Eagle Scout.

“Charity is about helping others by extending and putting oneself ‘out there’.  This is an amazing and unique way to put myself ‘out there’ to help others,” Patrick said.

“Committing to being a Charity Boxer is a great way to better myself and others at the same time. I’m pumped!” he added.

Patrick is a member of the Bay Shore Chamber of Commerce. He volunteers for the Catholic Charities golf outing every year.

He is married and resides in Bay Shore.

Q: What made you decide to fight for charity?

““Charity is about helping others by extending and putting oneself ‘out there’.  This is an amazing and unique way to put myself ‘out there’ to help others,””
