Meet the Boxer

Dr. Matthew “Moleman” Mene is a urologist at Advanced Urology Centers of New York in Seaford. Dr. Mene has been practicing since 1996. In 1998 he became board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and became a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. He is also an award-winning Urologist, receiving several recognitions including The Meade Johnson Research Grant, The Burroughs Welcome Research Award, The Golden Quill Award and The Merck and Co. Resident Achievement Award. In addition, he has been published several times in urologic professional literature and reviews.

Dr. Mene received his bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences at New York Institute of Technology as part of a 7-year medical program. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy Degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and then completed a six-year residency in Urologic Surgery at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

An alumnus of New York Institute of Technology’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Mene continues to educate young up and coming professionals and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Urology.

Outside of his professional life, he is involved in Council for Unity, a charity that empowers students, individuals and groups with the tools necessary to promote unity, safety and achievement in schools, communities, law enforcement agencies and correctional facilities. He also enjoys martial arts, where he is a Second-Degree Black Belt in Hakkoryu Jiu-Jitsu and a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

He currently resides in Dix Hills with his wife and two children.
